Meter Jam in Mumbai and all the other Cities too....

Fedup by the refusals of Autodrivers and Taxi drivers Thousand of Commuters hav decided to teach a lesson to them by observing Meter Jam and boycotting this two modes of public transport. Not only in Mumbai people over other Cities are also supporting Meter Jam.

This Meter Jam campaign is a brain child of Advertising professionals and is being also supported on Facebook.

Many commuters face problems everyday due to the resfusal of Auto and Taxi drivers. Even they dont consider old people and blow them off.

Posters have been design and people are been made aware , their signature is been taken,Many have come in the support of this campaign.

This is a good initiative taken " They should be thought a lesson".........

Excerpts from "A Village Smiles" is a government documentry.A 1919 on state controlled.It is a joint venture of ( Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan,Madya Pradesh).Sardar sarovar Narmada ghati Pariyojana together built dam on narmada river.

In Maharashtra Advasis (original inhabitants)celebrate Holi Festival, 10050 official,37 hector of land and many people and if the dam is built many people will drown.

Gigantic Narmada will be the cause of it. It will displace many people. People are protesting against it.People are opposing it. Baba Amte in 1990 protested in Gujarat. People have right to live.People question the functioning of governmentBusinessman, Politicians said it isd necessary to build a dam for progress.People gave naras also.Medha Patkar was the one who strongly opposed it and supported the protestors.She worked hard for it.Prathiba Sharma also protested. Because of it government agreed to give compensation. Manibeli village was a symbol of struggle. Government sand police to shift people. But people were adamant People said "WE MAY SLIP BUT WE WONT SHIFT"... People were badly beaten up and even jailed and injured, even women also were badly injured.

In November- 1992 - World Bank President came to Mumbai, Medha Patkar and protestors went to meet himbut he refuse and people opposed him. Police assult activist and injured them and finally in March 1993 World Bank withdrew the budget people celebrated it.

In 1993 in Mumbai Medha Patkar protested and guided the moment, she also went on hunger strike and many strikers were arrested and government promised the complete review of the project.

But there was no progress and no measures taken. Jal Samarpan was declared several activist including Medha Patkar were suppose to jump in Narmada river.Many people gave their life. Issue was debatable Medha Patkar won the long struggle.

Medha Patkar even had talks with the Union Minister of Environment Kamal Nath. But there was no conclusion drawn from it. As the talks remained half way.

But Gujarat is united on Narmada issue.

And the struggle for "Narmada Bachao Andolan" still continues............

One day workshop on preparation of Net and Set examination

Hinduja college had a very interesting session abot the preparation of Net and Set examination

Respected Principal Dr T.A.Shiware Sir began with it and introduced the chief guests and thanked them for giving their valuable time. Even Vice Principal Chitra Madam, and other faculty members welcomed them and thanked them.

Aces like Gosavi sir, Dr Sanjay Kaptan sir, Prashant Patki sir, Dr Shitole sir, and Waghmare sir shared their expert knowledge and opinions with the faculty members and the participants.

Discussions on paper 1,2,3 about the modules, objectives, how to attempt the paper and questions , how to make preparations for the same were some of the topics discussed.

Thus it was realy a very interactive session ..............

Malaria strikes back..............

As soon as the monsoon struck Mumbai.....

It invited many diseases along with it. But Malaria is said to be the most vital and the dangerous one. It has hit the city very badly. Contaminated food, water, sanitation, drainage are said to be the causes of it.

Malaria has taken the death toll to 13 in this month.

The total number of deaths due to monsoon has reached 21 this month. Meanwhile Swine Flu is back and 22 people are tested positive. BMC has cautioned people and even doctors are advising people to avoid outside food which is very disasterous for health. And to boil the water before consuming it..

So people stay....... Safe, Fit and Fine...................

The publishers of Sachin Tendulkar's autobiography Tendulkar opus have decided to come out with the unique wbook ay by having a sprecial edition of book which will have the Legend batsman's blood in it... sounds wired but for the people who treat Sachin as a God surely it is like a best thing for them . In India where Cricket is Religion and Sachin is GOd nothing cant get better for the Sachin crazy people than this.

The will have Sachins blood in it. and his unseen photographs, his career statics, his views ...This 852- page book will be sold at a whooping price of $75,000.only ten copies of the book will be printed , which will weigh 37 kg and would be half a metre, and the book will be out by next year in February and the signature page will have Sachin's blood in it. Sachin's fans surely must hav been delighted. Publisher Kraken Media's chief executive Karl Flower told The Guardian.

By this Sachin's fans can get more closer to him. Apart from his blood his saliva is also been takento create his DNA profile which would be printed on the book. And would be used for a good cause for Sachin's charatable trust in Mumbai.

This was the day when the FIFA got its new champion yes..... Spain....

Huge mob turned out to Johannesburg to witness a good encounter between Nederland and Spain. people wer keen on knowing the next champion of 2010 FIFA worldcup. As predicted match turned out to be a very exciting one...

Spain proved itself as the Octopus Paul predicted Spains victory.. Spain lived up to the exceptations.

Though Spain did not started of well in the tournament. but as the tournament went on they realy came back with bang. Fernando Torres, David Villa, were the main attraction of all

though Villa missed the golden boot he is still consider as a good player.

But Andres Iniesta was the man who led Spain to the victroy. though Nederland tried their level best to give tough fight to spain but at the end it was Spain who lifted up the world cup.

Captain and goal keeper IKER Casillas praised the team for its smashing win and apreciated their hard work and called it as a team effort.

With the Spain's victory whole Spain was happy, thousands of people jammed Madrid streets and celebrated their teams victory, national unity was at strongest. people cherished the world cup's winning moments of Spain.

This victory of Spain would be cherished , and remembered throughout, Spain yruley showcased the spirit of sportmanship, nobility, good play and team work. and the great Paul Octopus was right as always. Huh but who would have trusted the octopus with this but he chose Spain and Spain won. Hope Spain beats all its odd and try and win as many as they can...
